The cycle path called “La Régalante” in Brittany is a picturesque 275 km route which connects Mont-Saint-Michel to Nantes, crossing the Marches de Bretagne. This cycle route offers cyclists the opportunity to discover the fascinating history of the region, steeped in medieval times.

Hello Regalante! 

The name of this new cycle route through the Portes de Bretagne is a “subtle mixture of the terms galette and galante which generates a warm and delicious word” inviting cyclists and cycle tourists but also families to feast on the route. All along, it is marked by a remarkable heritage and imposing castles like the Castle of Vitré.

A 275 km journey to the heart of the Marches de Bretagne and their history :

Driving through the heart of the historic Marches de Bretagne region, the cycle route n°9 crosses from north to south four cities of Art and History® : FougèresVitreous, ChateaubriantNantes, without forgetting the Mont St. Michel. This itinerary opens the door to the discovery of castles, medieval fortresses, picturesque markets, half-timbered houses... but also a total reconnection to nature in celebration.

The route crosses our territory for 55 kilometers, from Châtillon-en-Vendelais to Drouges, passing through Vitreous et Guerche-de-Bretagne.

The route is connected to 3 major national and European cycle routes:
the EV4 – Vélomaritime® in the north, from Saint-Malo to Mont-Saint-Michel;
the EV1 – Canal from Nantes to Brest: from Redon to Blain – La Vélodyssée® and
the EV6 – The Véloroute des Fleuves in the south.
