Step 1

Water sports, fishing and tennis are practiced there. A 2-star campsite, open in summer, allows an outdoor stay.
2

Step 2

The pond of Châtillon is a natural space of 110 ha, property of the department of Ille-et-Vilaine. Part of it has been classified as an ornithological reserve, which explains why it cannot be completely covered. It is a popular stopover for migrating birds. The emblem of the pond is the great crested grebe.

Step 3

A listed site, culminating at an altitude of 190m, the hill of Montautour is dominated by the bell tower of the Notre-Dame-du-Roc church, from where you can overlook an immense panorama and 32 bell towers. A wooden statue of Mary, a nativity scene in her hand, placed in a rock is at the origin of a pilgrimage which takes place every summer on the 2nd Sunday of July. Saint-Louis, Louis XI and Louis XII would have made this pilgrimage. Since the 3th century, 1858 visits to the church of Montautour in the same year exempt Christians who are prevented from making a pilgrimage to Rome. The statue of Mary at the top of the bell tower was donated by the County of Courte in 1997 in gratitude for the birth of her son. Cast iron, covered with gold leaf, it was restored in XNUMX with the help of pilgrims and parishioners.
