One Woman show before the show -
A funny, intimate and moving piece created in residence at the Château des Bretonnieres and performed for the first time at Thélème before going on tour.

Valerie Vinci
Actress and singer, Valérie Vinci has worked for many years with Valère Novarina. Under his direction, she performed at the Théâtre de la Colline, the Odéon, at the Rond-Point in Paris and in the main courtyard of the Palais des Papes in Avignon during the In festival. In 2006, Joël Pommerat entrusted her with the role of the little one and the grandmother in Le Petit Chaperon Rouge, Molière for young audiences, which she has been playing ever since, in France and abroad. In November 2023, we will find her in the new creation by Valère Novarina at the Théâtre de la Colline, in Paris.

Our Story
Today is a feast day, feast of the dead. Albertine Lumière, actress, enters the stage to wait for her entry. She remakes the world, her world in the last moments that separate her from entering the public. It is a woman in catastrophe who will enter and be reflected in each of us. She addresses the manager, waits for her mother and repeats the gestures. She also talks about the theater, about death, rereads her accessory list, checks the microphone. Tonight she will play "Miss Gariguette brings back her strawberry" But in the meantime, between dream and reality, another word takes place.

"With a real false lightness and authentic sincerity, Valérie Vinci expresses on stage her irrepressible need to create, to invent, to re-enchant. By simply inhabiting the stage on which she deploys, without an ounce of narcissism or casualness, her astonishing little world made of odds and ends, populated by hauntings and ghosts, innervated by words, songs, and serious and laughing gestures that are repeated at will, the actress gives birth to a universe full of fantasy and vertiginous and jubilant mise en abyme, her hand-sewn piece "Perhaps I slept" manages to ward off our solitudes as well as to celebrate the fragile and profound beauty of art and life that she makes intimately 'intertwine.'
