Step 1
Nestled in the hollow of a valley surrounded by Perugia and to the north by Cantache, the town of Montreuil-sous-Pérouse benefits from a pleasant and bocage setting.

Step 2
This mill is located on the Cantache, on the right bank. If its hydraulic system is broken, it could very easily be put back into working order. According to the archives, Cantache once had many mills. Several systems existed: with "flat paddle" type wheels from below, as here at Ribert, and "bucket" type from above, operating by gravity.

Montreuil-sous-Pérouse was crossed by the railway line which linked Vitré to Fougères. This link will soon evolve towards a green lane.
