Octave and Hyacinthe have just gotten married. Léandre falls in love with a beautiful Egyptian woman: Zerbinette. But here Octave's mother (Argante) and Léandre's father (Géronte) return from their trip, full of wedding plans in mind. The plans of our young lovers are therefore compromised. Unless... Scapin, Léandre's valet, touched by the misfortune of our two young people, is preparing a scheme: to extort money from the two elders to prove the youth right...
