Why Wolof Art Design?
This name comes straight from the language spoken in Senegal and Mali, Wolof. I have for this name because I have been going directly to supply myself locally in Senegal for almost 10 years. The shop started its activity in artistic ironwork in 2014.
Currently Sonia offers in her shop in Vitré under the porches at 10 rue de la Poterie near the Maison de l'Isle, ethnic jewelry from different ethnic groups selected locally in Africa. The silver and bronze nomadic jewelery made by the Tuaregs in Senegal & Niger are unique and refined pieces and represent motifs that tell their story.
Each jewel is different according to the families, a knowledge transmitted from generation to generation. Tuareg jewels are pieces hammered and encrusted with ebony or semi-precious stones, these jewels are authentic.
Come and discover also, a selection of handcrafted jewelry inspired by the Fulani & Baoulé people from Mali & Ghana.
Of course, other little wonders remain to be discovered…
