Mecé is a small town located on the borders of the Pays de Vitré and Fougères. The inhabitants of Mecé (Mezieg in Breton) are called Mécéens and Mécéennes. The town covers 16km². The Changeon river and the Ouvraise stream are the main rivers that cross the town, mainly dedicated to cattle breeding (meadows).
